Founded in 1984, Watson Goepel LLP is an accomplished mid-sized Canadian Law firm with 30 lawyers practicing in all areas of law. WG moved within their existing building to a new area spread over 1½ floors of 1075 West Georgia. A unique, iconic building designed in 1965 by Arthur Erickson, presented design constraints that required constant attention to detail. The non-typical ceiling coffers, mechanical & electrical systems meant for strict adherence to modular planning. Wishing to enhance the building’s architecture, the design team developed classic design elements such as the bespoke glazing, new lighting, efficient furniture layouts and a natural colour pallet, all marrying together for a timeless aesthetic while providing the required functionality.
In partnership with Turner Construction, AGA delivered a comprehensive design solution that satisfied all of Watson Goepel’s guiding principles established early in the design process; Professional in its aesthetic, while not appearing to be severe or elitist, their new environment is comfortable for staff and visitors alike with classic, timeless and spacious modern aesthetic.
