The renovations to the Richmond General Hospital Main Atrium were the result of a donor funded initiative orchestrated by the Richmond Hospital Foundation. The well-deserved face-lift to the Atrium was required to refresh the busy hospital entrance for patients and their families.
As part of the major renovation, AGA designed the floor patterns, furniture layouts and finishes as well as preparing the architectural colour schemes and finishes. AGA also prepared the budgets for furniture and window coverings and managed the final deficiency stage of the project.
In addition to the Main Atrium, the renovation included a family resource area, a reflection space, donor walls and an improved way-finding system with four distinct colour coded zones allowing for easier navigation through the hospital.
