Our client knows that when opportunity knocks, open the door. That is exactly what they did when they caught wind of an exciting new property on the market, a heritage house in the heart of Kerrisdale originally built in 1913.
The class “A” heritage designation of the site present a long list of complications but the AGA team chose to see them as design opportunities. The team preserved, restored and exposed many of the existing details creating a study in contrast between old and new.In order to offset the salvaged interior details the tem utilized minimal finishes and colours in a classic neutral palette with punches of dark contrast.
AGA was responsible for hiring all the interior sub trades relating to the finishes and millwork design. Classic new furniture, with a 50’s inspired look, was purchased for specific areas of the project. The resulting design expresses a European Contemporary interior that feels modern, elegant and warm. The finished space is full of texture, character and light, welcoming the many guests that our client loves to open the door to.
